Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see we have had another day free of any cloudiness.
On the outside of the Baja peninsula a persistent marine layer ranging from 500 ft to around 1500 feet hugs the coast from around Turtle Bay north to around La La Land.
Looking now south to the Mexican Riviera. It looks like Bud has obviously not been reading the advisories posted yesterday morning when they said he was unlikely to become a himicane. This image is showing a pretty defined swirl and a very weak eye and a cat 1 himicane this morning. He is forecast to continue moving toward the coast and make landfall Saturday just south of Cabo Corrienties.
While many models have Bud remain over water missing land or making it inland as a much weaker system its present strength and position warrants advisories for the coast of Mexico that have been posted by the Mexican government. In addition to the strong winds even a weakened Bud could produce widespread flooding.
Either way it looks like this weekend is going to be a gully-washer for the southwest coast of Mexico.
None of the models show Bud having any affect on Baja. We’ll be keeping an eye on the winds in the Southern crossing though through the weekend.
That’s what’s going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where at the top of this image I can see a big honk’n low moving out of the Gulf of Alaska today and will be bringing rain as far south as the Bay Area by tomorrow.
By late Friday the low and associated cold front will have moved down the coast into southern California and they could see some light rain or drizzle. The major affect will be the temperatures will dip quite a bit and the increase in the winds in the mountains and deserts. The system will depart over the holiday weekend bringing dry and warmer weather back to the southland.
Looking over to the southwest where Red Flag fire warnings extend for the entire state. Very dry humidity and strong winds are keeping firefighters busy. At Hereford they have been having wind gusts to 56 mph all night tomorrow the winds are forecast to pick up a bit in the afternoon exasperating the problem.
Temperature-wise the highs will all into the 80s over the deserts by Saturday and then begin to warm on Sunday and return to seasonal norms by the middle of next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence in the northern Sea for the next two days they should see strong southerlies and then on Saturday strong northerlies.
The central Sea today and tomorrow strong (to 20 knots) southerlies and Saturday strong northerlies to 20 knots.
The southern Sea will continue to see SW winds mostly in the moderate ranges but could pick up to around 20 at La Paz tomorrow.
Interesting at 5 O’clock yesterday afternoon. The bar here in El Burro Cove was 1000 mb, humidity was 15% and the Temperature had just reached 106.
It looks like today the Sea will again see temperatures in the high 90s to the low 100s.

73s Y’all
